G311.)HJ DRUM, LEATHER SHOULDER HARNESS AND DRUM STICKS: the collector who had this set brought it back from Germany while serving there in the 1990's. 15" wide snare drum, 7" deep. Sheepskin (animal hide) batter heads are both completely intact although dirty with use and age. Body is now tarnished brass  and hoops are wooden and painted in the HJ/DJ diamond pattern, black/white enamel application showing wear and age from use. Most of the diamond finish is intact on wood. Eight (8) vertical lug casings -- tension rods -- all with tightening bolts. Snare strainer adjustment mechanism on the side is intact. Snare wire on the underside are intact and perfect too. Has leg rest brace too which is wrapped with its original white tape. The side of drum's brass body has musical instrument maker's label with 'Musikhaus, WILM-MONKE, Koln-Ehrenfeld'. Comes with black finished, brown leather shoulder harness. I'm not quite sure how this harness actually attaches to the drum itself. An attachment may be missing, not sure. In any event, it came with the drum and it's surely original period. Both black-finished drum sticks are present and still inside the leather loops provide. Lots of wear to the black finish on these sticks and obviously they're original HJ. EXC++
