I recall seeing a few of these on the market way back in the 1970's and of course being sold as genuine at the time. Gold finished assault badge type construction -- good quality construction -- with national eagle, diving U-boat motif, wreath and waves. With 'Frontreif' motto (combat patrol or 'to be at the front of the spear'). Reverse has typical assault badge type hinge and pointed pin. EXC++++
