Tailored of an officer quality field gray herring-bone-twill wool. Piped around the crown in crimson wool for artillery. Piped too on the upper and lower black wool cap band. Has quality silver bullion braided officer's chin cord fastened at sides with 12mm wide pebbled buttons. This really is a superb older cap. Both eagle and totenkopf skull device are spectacular quality....matching and both show a sterling-silver like toning. These just really compliment the cap, wow. Smooth black patent leather visor with brown underside. Interior of cap is lined with brown satin and has genuine brown leather sweat band. Has clear, stiff, moisture shield (not the pliable and soft type) that's marked to Berlin hat maker 'Christian Haug'. Also marked with 'Deustche Qualitatsarbeit' (Quality German Workmanship).
