Impeccably hand embroidered silver bullion runes on black wool underlay. Piped with twisted silver cord. Edges are folded over on back and stiffened with the proper brown burlap fabric. Radiates age and originality. Does not glow under a black light. Looks very much like it's genuine period. The prior owner paid $350 for this collar tab way back in 2008. EXC++++

When using a black light to determine the presence of post-war ultraviolet, artificial brighteners, be sure to test the subject in total darkness and to use a piece of white copy paper as a control. The white paper will glow a vibrant purple.
