RD776.)LUFTWAFFE GENERAL OFFICER'S TUNIC: nothing less than a totally stellar piece of tailoring and workmanship. Tailored of a fine, officer quality LW blue-gray wool and with ivory-white wool collars. Piped around the collar with twisted gold bullion cord for general officer. Double-breasted front with fine, gold pebbled buttons. Turn-back cuffs that are piped with white wool. Piped too down the front panels. Collar has that typical zig-zag stitching on the underside just like real period German tailoring. Collar tabs are totally superb quality, meticulously hand sewn on. These are perfectly executed with impeccably done gold bullion wire gulls and full wreaths on white wool underlay....piped too with gold general officer twisted cord. Bullion is mildly and convincingly toned with years of patina. General officer's hand embroidered gold bullion eagle is a gem too....it's on LW gray wool underlay and is carefully hand applied (stitching isn't through the lining). At sides are pockets with flaps. Shoulder boards are equally as impressive, sew-in type and perfectly tailored into place. These are braided gold and silver bullion cord on white wool underlay and with single frosted rank pip each. Pips appear to be original. With three loops for ribbon bar and four sets of loops on wearer's left chest for a total of four badges. Interior of tunic is lined with gray satin-like fabric and has inside pocket. With cloth embroidered tailor's label to the premiere Berlin firm 'WILHELM HOLTERS, BERLIN 50'. Just outstanding all around, exceptional quality. EXC++++
