US3715.)WWII US ARMY 3rd INFANTRY DIVISION M1 HELMET: totally restored WWII M1 helmet, a front-seam type which dates this shell to pre-November, 1943. Shell is finished with intact OD shade #7 wartime cork aggregate finish (rough for light deflection). Has replacement canvas duck chin strap with an original brass hook-and-claw release buckle. Has swivel type chin strap loops. Liner is an original example, marked to the 'CAPAC Mfg Co.' inside crown and with light khaki shade #3 canvas webbing, replacement pigskin leather sweat band that looks very much original. Has snap-in neck nape harness that's original period. Old replacement brown leather chin strap snugly fitted over shell's front visor. Stenciled on sides with very nicely executed 3rd Infantry Division patch designs. This is a great looking restored helmet. All of the restoration workmanship is superb quality as is the stenciling on the sides of the shell. EXC++++
