Large and strikingly imposing, 5" long and much larger than the typical United Spanish War Veteran's League membership medal. Multi-piece construction (five separate components) with all of the details being sintered gold and looking very much like genuine precious metal....wreath at base is genuine silver. Pendent at base shows Span-Am War veterans (army and navy) with Lady Liberty) and the various campaigns of the war...Cuba, Philippines, Puerto Rico. Reverse shows all of the various army corps badges and 'UNITED'. Suspension clasp is gold finished American eagle motif while the suspender over the pendent itself shows panoply of stacked arms and anchor. Clean American flag silk ribbon with separately applied clasp being the shoulder passant for US Army major general (vaulted to conform with shoulder form like a full size strap and with two silver rank stars).
