US1007.)KOREAN WAR ERA US ARMY DISTINGUISHED SERVICE MEDAL: the decoration itself is surely a World War Two era piece, ribbon doesn't glow. Beautiful gilded workmanship and blue glass enameling. With three Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters for a total of four awards. Has matching clutch-back ribbon bar also with three OLC's. Has miniature medal that is faithful in every respect to the full size specimen. Has civilian lapel badge too. Comes in the early 1950's clear Lucite case, hinged and with blue velvet lining inside. Note too the the ribbon bar and lapel badge are clutch-back type while the case is fitted to accommodate pin-backs. The 1950's clear Lucite case is quite uncommon, these being immensely unpopular and soon replaced with really crappy, junky vinyl covered cases (what we have today). Really handsome grouping. Case has one crack to the plastic on the right side, no plastic missing. EXC++++
