US1017.)WWII USMC OFFICER'S KHAKI GARRISON CAP: khaki cotton fabric and quite clean. With sterling silver officer's type eagle, globe and anchor device on wearer's left side. This EGA device is a screw-back with brass locking nut. Has been on this cap since the beginning of time....you can discern a distinct impression in the underside fabric where the screw-back locking nut has rested for 80 years. This EGA is marked on the underside with the eagle logo of the premiere USN/USMC military outfitter 'Hilborn-Hamburger' and 'STERLING'. On the opposite side is lieutenant's rank bar, pin-back with roller catch and marked '1/20 10k' gold filled . EXC++++
