RD679.)LUFTWAFFE SINGLE-DECAL WINTER CAMOUFLAGED STEEL HELMET: superb old piece of restoration workmanship. Shell is an old copy and is as fine as any original. Quality and gauge of steel is robust, doesn't flex when compressed between the palms. Beneath white-washed camouflage application is the original LW smooth blue-gray finish. White-washed and aged with wear from field use; wear around the rim and on the crown. Very  convincing. Note too that the LW eagle decal -- which is a really fine old copy -- has been painted around. Has a totally superb leather liner, soft and supple and intact. Nicely aged too and convincing as hell. Has rubber pads around the liner band. With gray leather chin harness -- aged and worn and superbly convincing -- snap button fastener. Leather is soft and supple. Leather is faintly printed with all the correct nomenclature being helmet size and liner size. Also faintly marked with liner's Berlin maker. I'd say that the shell is a size '64' and the liner is marked '71' so it's fairly large. Cannot praise this old piece of workmanship enough. You'll love it. EXC++++
