RD883.)CASED 1939 IRON CROSS 2nd CLASS: splendid vintage copy just out of a long-standing collection. Stunning old fake as fine as any original period '39 EKII. Smooth black enamel finished magnetic center; three-piece construction. Crisp and as perfect as a genuine piece. Polished nickel-silver frame is handsomely toned with a rainbow tarnish. Beaded edge is frosted too, now toned. Reverse is equally as impressive as the obverse and ring is crisply die-struck with '333'. Comes in 3" square gray leatherette case, hinged and with functioning spring button catch. Interior of case is lined with plush maroon velvet and is recessed to hold cross and ring. Upper interior of case is lined with padded white satin. Frankly, this gem is spectacular. You'll easily see how the previous owner was deceived into believing this stunner to be genuine period. Both the case and the '39 EKII are superb quality, not the current junk on the market. EXC++++
