Shell is a genuine 3rd Rch period M40 helmet that has been professionally restored and embellished with a sprayed brown-green application. Still has its original rough, sand finish, minor wear at crown and along the rim edges. Intact Wehrmacht eagle decal mildly aged. High quality coffee-with-cream shade genuine pigskin leather liner with leather washers and draw string. Liner is ink stamped with size 56'. Note too that the underside of this genuine period shell is die-struck with maker and size 'Q64' (Quist). Black leather chin strap is a post-war replacement, soft and supple. EXC++++
