Separately applied glass enameled Olympic rings on white glass enameling. Base alloy is a quality gold. Glass enameled national eagle motif at top detailed in gold for contrast. Has tapered suspension ring detailed with vertical ribs. Back of cross is a starburst is a smooth gold. 40Mm wide neck ribbon is 19" long. Award document is printed on 8x12" fine quality heavy paper stock as it should be. Printed details bestow the Deutsche Olympia-Ehrenzeichen erster Klasse (German Olympic Games Honor Award First Class). Awarded at Berlin, den 1.9.1937' and with typed details to 'Doktor Hans Heissmeyer'. With facsimile AH signature at base and boldly embossed with the wreath/national eagle in lower left corner. These were made to deceive and originally came from a very well known daggers and edged weapons dealer. EXC++++
